Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and collections are followed up on.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
