Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with 98%+ accuracy and timely processing
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems using QuickBooks and Excel
- Provide financial insights through variance analysis and budget vs. actual reporting
- Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals during compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced formulas), and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or actively pursuing preferred
- El Paso-based candidates with local business network preferred
