Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and cash flow to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment criteria to minimize default rates.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and underwriting reports for approval by senior management.
- Monitor existing accounts for early signs of financial distress or delinquency.
- Collaborate with the sales and lending teams to structure financing solutions that meet client needs while mitigating risk.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal lending policies.
- Regularly update and maintain the credit database with accurate borrower information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
