Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications, financial statements, and market data to assess borrower risk and creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and internal policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for the credit committee.
- Monitor the credit portfolio to identify trends in delinquency and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to resolve complex credit issues and facilitate loan approvals.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing client accounts to ensure continued credit health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or financial underwriting.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software (e.g., Moody’s Analytics, FICO) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, Basel III, and compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
