Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret complex regulatory changes (e.g., FINRA, SEC, state laws) to ensure organizational adherence.
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
- Develop, implement, and update internal compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during examinations and inspections.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations or suspected misconduct promptly and discreetly.
- Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership regarding the organization's compliance status.
- Deliver regular compliance training sessions to staff at all levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA, or general corporate compliance standards).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CFE, CIPP, or CRCM are a significant plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally for off-site meetings or regulatory visits.
