Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential risks, gaps, or violations in compliance procedures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues or incidents with a focus on prevention.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry standards to ensure our organization remains compliant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, or a related regulatory role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal financial regulations applicable to the region.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFE, CRCM, CPA) is a plus.
