Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review financial statements and monthly reports for management review.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation (1099s, W-2s).
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual audits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both digital and physical.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with payroll systems and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.
