Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts accurately.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing to guarantee employees are paid on schedule.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures and journal entries.
- Ensure all financial documentation is organized, secure, and compliant with local regulations.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a strong plus.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
