Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate weekly disbursements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for clients.
- Process sales tax returns and local Miami tax filings as required.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online is highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
