Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP and SOX compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership
- Oversee tax preparation and planning for corporate entities
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and financial modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Proven experience managing month-end/year-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
