Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify financial trends.
- Cross-train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting systems and software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
