As our Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring our clients' books are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correct.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in year-end audit preparations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
