Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, including accurate recording of daily transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and payments collected in a timely manner.
- Prepare and send monthly financial statements and reports to clients.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure all tax filings are completed correctly.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and identify any discrepancies or errors.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation support as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with payroll processing and federal/state tax regulations is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently.
