Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relations, and ensure timely payments while tracking incoming payments.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing weekly payroll for staff members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheets.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, or similar software to manage data entry and reporting.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist the accounting team in gathering necessary documentation for year-end tax filings.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and QuickBooks or Xero.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial staff.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and capable of meeting weekly deadlines consistently.
