Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions weekly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Assist with audits and financial analysis as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (3+ years)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and VAT
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification required
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with weekly pay cycles
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
