Responsibilities
- Account Management: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and generate monthly financial statements for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure all tax filings are accurate and timely.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; High School Diploma with equivalent experience accepted.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
