Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and on time.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
