Your Role
As a Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our general ledger and ensuring all financial reporting is timely and accurate.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, including journal entries and month-end close activities.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and issue payments while tracking accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and other required reports for leadership review.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll data and ensure compliance with tax regulations during the night processing window.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices adhere to GAAP and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work the night shift (7:00 PM - 4:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for spotting discrepancies.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the finance team during day shifts.
