Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced and up-to-date.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist in cost accounting processes.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records for audit purposes.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification: NACPB or CPA preferred but not mandatory.
