Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure tax filings are completed on time.
- Categorize and track business expenses to maintain a healthy budget.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations and internal policies.
- Generate and maintain accurate ledgers using accounting software.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic tax laws.
