Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial statement preparation.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payroll accurately and on time in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and maintain tax-related documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
