Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Accounting: Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll preparation and processing, ensuring all withholdings and taxes are calculated correctly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and internal company policies.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
