Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor accounts, and ensure timely payments while accurately tracking incoming revenue.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll functions, ensuring tax filings and deductions are processed accurately and on time.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations, preparing necessary documentation for audits.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Expert level proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
