Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement, for management review.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger using QuickBooks or Xero, ensuring all entries are classified correctly.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with the processing of payroll, ensuring tax filings and deductions are calculated accurately.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal and state tax regulations to ensure our financial practices remain compliant.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
