Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multiple entities
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial systems
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly/year-end reporting
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in NYC market
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Exceptional organizational skills and deadline-driven mindset
- Experience with NYC tax regulations and compliance standards
