Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings (e.g., 1099s, sales tax).
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel to generate reports and analyze financial data.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding account status and financial health.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
