Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll accurately for multiple clients, ensuring all withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage to input data, categorize transactions, and generate reports.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding their financial status and transactions.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documents as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50cloud.
- Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macros) is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
