Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounts Management: Oversee the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including accurate invoicing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash flow is accurately tracked and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports, for management review and tax preparation.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are timely, accurate, and compliant with GAAP standards.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll, managing tax filings, and maintaining up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, and assist in internal and external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Professionalism: High level of professional ethics, confidentiality, and time management skills.
