Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, handle payments, and ensure all vendor and client accounts are up to date.
- Bank Reconciliation: Daily review and reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing weekly or bi-weekly payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports for review.
- Expense Tracking: Maintain organized ledgers and track business expenses to optimize tax deductions.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax laws.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience required.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Xero is mandatory.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; High School Diploma with relevant certification (NACPB) considered.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when entering data and processing financial transactions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines.
