Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate records of employee time and attendance.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with state regulations.
- Assist with the year-end audit process and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
