Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and timely.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices, verifying accuracy and approving payments.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process by collecting and analyzing financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems for financial documents and tax records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks or SAP is a plus).
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant internship or co-op experience is a significant plus.
