Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports for clients.
- Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and financial audits.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts to improve cash flow.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate budgets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Premium is a plus).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and team members.
- Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
