The Role:
As a Billing Specialist, you will be the frontline of our revenue cycle management. You will ensure that our clients are billed accurately and on time, maintaining healthy cash flow and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to clients on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Payment Management: Process incoming payments via various methods (ACH, credit card, check) and post payments to client accounts in a timely manner.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers daily, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries, statements, and past-due notices.
- Reporting: Assist in month-end close processes by preparing aging reports and revenue summaries.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and update billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) with correct customer and product data.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with billing software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, data discrepancies, and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
