Responsibilities
- Process and verify patient invoices and billing statements with high accuracy.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations.
- Reconcile daily transactions and maintain accurate billing logs.
- Assist in the month-end closing process as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical or clinical billing preferred.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, QuickBooks) is required.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
