Responsibilities
- Process and post invoices accurately and timely to ensure proper payment.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger accounts related to accounts receivable.
- Send out monthly statements and follow up on overdue accounts to minimize bad debt.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly billing reports and variance analysis.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and audit requirements.
- Update customer records in the billing software with current information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
