Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end billing process, including generating accurate invoices and posting payments promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections.
- Review claims for accuracy, identify errors, and resubmit denials to insurance carriers.
- Reconcile monthly billing statements and maintain detailed financial records.
- Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.
- Utilize EHR and billing software to maintain up-to-date patient and financial data.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle management, or technical invoicing.
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and billing software (e.g., Practice Fusion, AdvancedMD).
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HIPAA compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
