Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans)
- Investigate and resolve billing denials/rejections within SLAs
- Perform account reconciliations and AR aging analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge capture accuracy
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
- Train new staff on billing protocols and systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR billing modules
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage high-volume claims with 99% accuracy
- Experience with electronic remittance posting (ERA)
- BS in Healthcare Administration or related field
