Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers and government payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through systematic investigation and follow-up
- Manage accounts receivable ledger and maintain 95%+ collection ratio
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture compliance
- Generate monthly billing reports and KPI dashboards for leadership
- Implement CPT/ICD-10 coding updates and regulatory changes
- Train staff on billing processes and compliance protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or comparable EHR/RCM systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and TennCare regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99.5% accuracy in claim submission
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+
