Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance denials with 95% accuracy
- Conduct thorough audits of patient accounts to ensure HIPAA/FDCPA compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document and code services with ICD-10/CPT precision
- Generate monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review
- Train staff on new billing technologies and regulatory updates
- Lead quarterly process improvement initiatives to reduce AR days
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in acute care settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of CMS regulations and third-party payer policies
- Proven ability to reduce denial rates below 5%
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Strong written/verbal communication for patient/family interactions
