Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through proactive payer and patient communication
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation and processes
- Analyze aging reports to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation
- Maintain patient billing records in Epic EMR system
- Conduct quarterly billing audits to identify process improvements
- Train staff on updated billing regulations and payer requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated success in reducing claim denial rates below 5%
- Strong analytical skills for revenue cycle optimization
