- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account issues within 48 hours
- Conduct audits to ensure coding accuracy (ICD-10, CPT) and HIPAA compliance
- Generate monthly revenue reports and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify service documentation
- Manage denial appeals and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital/clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing modules
- Advanced knowledge of CMS 1500 forms and UB-04 submissions
- Exceptional analytical skills with 99.5% accuracy in claim processing
- Experience with denial management and A/R aging reports
- Strong communication skills for patient/provider interactions
