Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical/invoice billing cycles with 99.9% accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable through aging reports and collections protocols
- Collaborate with insurance providers to resolve claim discrepancies and denials
- Implement billing process improvements using Epic and NextGen systems
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure HIPAA compliance and financial integrity
- Train billing staff on new regulations and software updates
- Generate financial reports for executive leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claims
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Proficiency in billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with Excel pivot table expertise
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Exceptional communication for client/provider negotiations
