Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance verification and patient follow-up
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and collection processes
- Update and maintain billing systems with current CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation compliance
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Train staff on billing procedures and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in insurance claim submission (Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial)
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or similar EHR billing modules
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions in fast-paced environment
- BA/BS in Healthcare Administration or related field
