Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including claim submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials through strategic follow-up
- Ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining accurate patient financial records
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure charge accuracy and documentation compliance
- Train staff on billing protocols and system updates
- Monthly reporting of KPIs including days in accounts receivable and collection rates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with specific knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or comparable RCM systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex insurance contracts
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in financial transactions
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations and appeals processes
- Ability to maintain composure during high-volume billing cycles
