Responsibilities
- Process and manage high-volume medical/utility billing cycles with 99.8% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through detailed research and stakeholder communication
- Prepare and submit insurance claims with proper documentation and coding
- Generate monthly revenue reports and variance analysis for leadership
- Collaborate with accounts receivable team to optimize collection strategies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA/FERPA regulations and internal audit standards
- Train junior staff on billing software and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of billing experience in healthcare/utility industries
- Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or billing-specific software
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities for complex account reconciliations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
