Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current IRS regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify optimization opportunities and minimize tax liabilities
- Collaborate with senior accountants on complex tax cases and special projects
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with audit requirements
- Provide exceptional client communication and tax planning guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience with individual and corporate returns
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte)
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and Kentucky state tax codes
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize complex tasks
- Valid Kentucky CPA license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
