Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through strategic follow-up
- Conduct monthly audits of patient accounts and financial reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge documentation
- Train staff on billing system updates and compliance requirements
- Implement process improvements to reduce days in accounts receivable
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or CPC-A)
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and ICD-10 updates
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations
