Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for multi-specialty medical practices
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance carrier follow-ups
- Conduct patient account reconciliations and payment posting
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train new staff on billing software workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth EMR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CMS 1500 and UB-04 claim forms
- Strong analytical skills with 10-key proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume claims with 95% accuracy
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
