Responsibilities
- Process and verify patient billing statements and invoices with 100% accuracy.
- Review and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely resolution.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, claim denials, and coding errors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to facilitate payment.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal financial policies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and generate aging summaries.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
