Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials within SLA timelines
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging statements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding and documentation
- Manage patient payment plans and billing inquiries
- Utilize Epic and Cerner EHR systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
